New Build is UP!
hey folks!
i'm super proud to announce that our new build is up!
there are a LOT of changes- i basically spent this last year ideating and redesigning a lot of the core aspects of our game. there's maybe about 15-20 minutes of gameplay here + 2 extra unfinished area i threw in for fun. i know there are quite a few bugs, especially because i haven't tested across a whole lot of computers yet, so i would deeply appreciate if you could comment any that you find below.
'm excited for your thoughts and feedback and will do my best to post patches. next steps involve carving out a few more core systems while seeking out further funding from grants or publishers :)
thanks so much for playing, hope you have fun!

Whoa! Super cool. Pleasant surprise to get to play some more Ponch this morning. I loved seeing the dialogue and cyberspace segments get smoothly blended. The whole trick with the TV and getting the bartender to stream from their phone made me laugh - I'm no infosec person, but it felt very believable to me. Super fun and glad to see the game's ingredients get developed more.
You mentioned noting any bugs - In my play-through, I didn't notice anything inside the finished room that seemed like a bug except for one: When the game prompts you to select a downloaded piece of info during the dialogue where you confront the barkeep, it displays the text of the first piece of data you downloaded on the center of the tab, but that data isn't selected. It confused me as I tried to hit "open" for it to be ineffective until I clicked on the data in the list on the left.
Glad to see this come through my feed again, best wishes to the whole team in Garden Robot and I look forward to whatever is next for the project. (RIP Lapis.)
